November 23 Update
The first 2 races of the 2020-2021 Daytona Running Series are now complete. Thank you, City of New Smyrna Beach, for hosting the Great Candy Races on October 10, and thank you to Cherise Wintz, the Operation Changing Lives Organization, and the City of Daytona Beach Shores for hosting the Operation Changing Lives 5k on November 21. Both in-person events drew a great group of runners!
The third race of the DRS 2020-2021 season will be the Holiday Bridge Challenge on December 19 in Ormond Beach. This annual event is hosted by the Ormond Beach Family YMCA, and will start at 7:30 in front of Ormond Beach City Hall at 22 South Beach St. For complete details and to register click here: Holiday Bridge Challenge
A new race to the series will be the 10th Annual Race the Runways 5k on February 20, 2021. This annual event is held at Flagler County Airport in Palm Coast. This unique 5k is held at 6:00 pm on the lighted runways, and is always a fun event. For more info and to register: Race of the Runways 5k.
We expect to add additional races in winter/spring. Understandably, race producers are reluctant to schedule far in advance for fear of permit cancellations during the pandemic, so check back to the Daytona Running Series website for updates.
The standings for the 2020-2021 season have been updated:
