The 1st Race of the 2020-2021 Daytona Running Series was The Great Candy Race 5k & Quarter Marathon held in New Smyrna Beach on October 10.  Thank City of New Smyrna Beach for putting these races on!

The 2nd Race this year will be the Operation Changing Lives 5k on November 21, 2020. This year the race is moving to Daytona Beach Shores, with the start at Crabby Joes at the Sunglow Pier. Note the earlier start time this year is 7:30 AM. For more info and to register: Operation Changing Lives 5k

A new race to the series will be the 10th Annual Race the Runways 5k on February 20, 2021. This annual event is held at Flagler County Airport in Palm Coast. This unique 5k is held at 6:00 pm on the lighted runways, and is always a fun event. For more info and to register: Race of the Runways 5k

Some of the regular series events will be virtual this year. While there are no racing points earned for virtual events, we encourage runners to participate and support our Series partners:
Halifax Health Hospice Virtual 5k - Nov 7-15
36th Annual John Boyle Thanksgiving 10 M & 5k Virtual Races - Nov 26 - 29
Shark Bite Half & 5k Virtual - Jan 1 - 31, 2021

Please check the local race calendar for other non-series events that may be of interest. We have expanded the geographical area to include more races. On Thanksgiving, there is beach run in New Smyrna Beach, and large 5ks in Sanford, Melbourne, and Cocoa Beach.

The 3rd Annual Run Flagler Youth Race Series consists of 5 One Mile races at Flagler Palm Coast High School track on Dec 5, 12, 19, 2020 and Jan 9 and 16, 2021. The series bridges the gap between the end of cross-country season and the beginning of outdoor track season. There are separate grade level competitions for Grades 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, and new for 2020-2021 there is an open high school category for grades 9 – 12 combined. There is separate scoring and races for boys and girls. Runners do not need to live in Flagler County or attend a Flagler County School. This series is put on with PAL.
