Daytona Running Series - Scoring the Healthy Heart 15k Challenge
The Race Producer is conducting the Healthy Heart 10k at 7:00 am and the Healthy Heart 5k at 8:45 am on February 7, 2016. Runners may elect to enter both events for a reduced combined entry fee, and therefore be entered in the Healthy Heart 15k Challenge.
Runners may only earn points in the Daytona Running Series for either the 5k or 10k race. The race in which the runner earns the most points will be the default event. If the runner scores the same number of points in both the 5k and 10k events, then the runner’s points will be placed under the 10k event for scoring purposes.
(There will be no points awarded for the runner’s place in the event in which he is not scored)
Example: Runner “A” finishes 1st in age group (AG) in both events. The runner is awarded 10 pts for the 10k. There are no points awarded for 1st place in the 5k event. The runner placing 2nd in the 5k event will earn the normal 7 pts for a 2nd place finish.
Good Luck and Enjoy The Healthy Heart 15k Challenge!
